Peter Modope Tari Agbeyegbe is a law clerk at the Council of American-Islamic Relations – FL. Mr. Agbeyegbe is a first-generation American, whose parents both emigrated from Nigeria. From 2004 until 2012, Mr. Agbeyegbe served in the Florida Army National Guard as a Saxophone Player with the 13th Army Band, and an Infantry Sergeant with the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team. In 2010, he completed one tour to Kuwait with the 53rd IBCT in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After completing his military service, Mr. Agbeyegbe graduated from Florida Memorial University with a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration, Summa Cum Laude.

In 2014, Mr. Agbeyegbe received an academic scholarship to attend Barry University School of Law in Orlando. In 2017, he graduated in the top third of his class and passed the Florida Bar exam. During law school, Mr. Agbeyegbe acquired invaluable legal experience as: 1) the legal intern for the City of Miami Gardens, 2) a law clerk for the Honorable William Thomas of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, 3) an extern for the Honorable Robert Dietz of the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims, and 4) a legal intern for the Department of Veterans Affairs in the Office of General Counsel, Orlando.

Outside of school, Mr. Agbeyegbe has been a Toastmaster since 2013. He served as the Vice-President of Public Relations for Universal Toastmasters club, and he won a Humorous speech contest in 2014. Mr. Agbeyegbe also received a competent communicator award and a competent leader award with Universal Toastmasters. In 2012, Mr. Agbeyegbe received the Outstanding Community Leadership Award from the City of Miami Gardens for his efforts as the founder and first chairperson of the Miami Gardens Progressive Young Adults. Through the MGPYA, he recommended and implemented programs to enhance the lives of young people. Mr. Agbeyegbe is certified in legal research through LexisNexis and Bloomberg law.
