The four fundraising banquets, including the first one in Panama City, had a total attendance of over 1,500 guests that included elected officials and dozens of interfaith partners from Christian, Jewish, and other faith communities.
CAIR-Florida's Chief Executive Director, Hassan Shibly, welcomed the strong response from the Florida Muslim community and other community partners. "The community's support for CAIR-Florida was overwhelming at our annual banquets. More than 1,500 guests donated well over $1million dollars and that is inspiring.

"Despite the tense political climate in the aftermath of November's election, our donors are solidly backing our 22-strong team's commitment to protect their civil rights from the newsroom to the courtroom Because they trust us, they gave us the means to keep providing the tools to ensure their safety, their civil rights knowledge, and protection. We are keeping Florida and the world informed of the Florida Muslims civil liberties struggles for justice. We encourage them to have their voices heard at all levels," said Shibly. Shibly also noted that 20% of CAIR-FL clients are not members of the Muslim community, reflecting the origination's commitment to be a champion of justice for all.
The banquet's programs featured recognized scholars on Islam as well as national celebrities and entertainers. Among the prestigious guests this year were Sheikh Omar Suleiman, Linda Sarsour, Imam Abdul Malik, Arsalan Iftikhar, and stand-up comedian Said Durrah.
