Imam Abdullah Jaber is Executive Director for CAIR-Florida, the Council on American-Islamic Relations – Florida. CAIR-Florida is the state’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization.

Br. Abdullah is a community activist, educator, and imam with degrees in Arabic and Islamic law. As the Executive Director, Br. Abdullah oversees the strategic vision and direction of CAIR-Florida.

Br. Abdullah brings with him many years of non-profit, advocacy, and leadership experience. Before joining us at CAIR-Florida, Br. Abdullah was most recently the Executive Director of CAIR-Georgia. Before that, he served as a resident scholar and imam in Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a former member of the CAIR-California advisory committee, the co-founder of Muslim Youth of Los Angeles (MyLA), and the founder and director of the non-profit educational organization, Tibyaan.

In recent years, Br. Abdullah has become well known as a scholar-activist who puts faith into action by protesting, speaking, and fundraising for various causes. His community involvement encompasses issues relating to voter turnout, civic engagement, and opposing Islamophobia.

Outside of his work commitments, Br. Abdullah is an avid reader and fragrance aficionado. His favorite book is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig.
