Programs and Outreach Manager

Position Overview:
The Programs and Outreach Manager will lead and support the implementation of CAIR-Florida’s statewide Programs and Events, including our major initiatives: Youth Development and 5 on 5 Program, with a home base in Orlando. This role is critical to executing programmatic initiatives across Florida while anchoring operations, outreach, and community partnerships in Central Florida. The Manager will work closely with the Deputy Executive Director and other team members to ensure effective, highimpact programming that advances CAIR-FL’s mission of defending civil rights and empowering Muslim communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Execution
- Implement and manage CAIR-FL’s events and outreach, with a statewide scope and a focus on the Central Florida region, including Daytona Beach and surrounding areas.
- Launch and oversee strategic initiatives such as the Youth Leadership Initiative, ensuring consistency and quality across regions.
- Work with Policy to support the local development and implementation of the Advocacy Hubs.
- Collaborate with other CAIR-FL offices to align programming goals and share best practices.
- Work with relevant departments on Gala preparation and lead Orlando gala efforts
Outreach & Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with Muslim communities, civic leaders, educational institutions, and partner organizations across Florida, with a focus on the greater Orlando region stretching east to Daytona Beach, Palm City, and surrounding areas.
- Organize community events, advocacy campaigns, and work with Policy to host town halls that promote civil rights awareness and community empowerment.
- Represent CAIR-FL in statewide coalitions, policy forums, and advocacy efforts to advance justice and equity.
Operations & Team Support
- Assist in managing program staff, volunteers, and interns involved in department initiatives.
- Monitor progress and evaluate program outcomes; collect and report relevant data to support grant compliance and strategic goals.
- Contribute to the creation of annual work plans, budgets, and performance metrics for assigned program areas.
Development & Grants
- Support grant reporting and compliance by tracking programmatic activities and impact.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities for statewide and regional programs in coordination with the DED.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in nonprofit programming, community organizing, or advocacy.
- Strong understanding of civil rights, policy, and youth development issues affecting Muslim communities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs across multiple regions.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, initiative, and adaptability; able to work independently and within a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel across Florida occasionally.
