CAIR-Florida Operations Director
Job Description

Reporting to the CAIRFlorida Chief Executive Director (CED), the Operations Director (OD) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of CAIR-FL and ensuring CAIR-FL departments and staff fulfill the vision, mission, and strategic goals set by the CED and Board of Directors in an effective and efficient manner. The OD is responsible to ensure that CAIR-FL operations are well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people.
The OD will have overall operational responsibility for CAIR Florida’s staff, programs, non-legal strategy, expansion, strengthening, and execution of its vision and mission.

CAIR Florida’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
• Responsible for Execution and Implementation of all CAIR Florida projects and rigorous program evaluation and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals
• HR: Responsible for Management & Development of CAIR Florida staff by developing and implementing CAIR Florida Employee Policy & Procedures, Human Resource procedures to Include annual evaluations interviewing, hiring and termination of employment, employee and/or harassment complaints, and unemployment hearings.
• Responsible for Non-Legal strategy and execution of countering Islamophobia statewide through direct management of non-legal staff and coordinating the marketing of CAIR-FL’s messaging to the community and public.
• Accounting: Responsible for implementation of Budget and monitoring of expenses by monthly P&L review and reporting to the (CED). Also will be responsible for managing any and all endowment project of CAIR Florida Inc.
• Responsible for compliance of all Federal, State, and County Compliance requirements statewide to include; General Liability, Property Insurance, Un-Employment Tax, Workman’s Compensation Insurance, Malpractice Insurance, and all other compliance and licensing requirements.
• Responsible for managing Grant resourcing and execution of all contracts to ensure compliance of earned grants.
• Technology: Responsible for management of CAIR-FL technology systems.

Fundraising & Communications
• Expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support statewide operations and regional expansion by performing; Khutbahs, Know Your Rights Trainings, Media Appearances, public speaking events, 1 on 1 Donor meetings, Annual Banquets, Ramadan Fundraising, Monthly Donor Program, and Endowment.
• Deepen and refine all aspects of communications and marketing—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger CAIR Florida brand.
• Act as Spokesperson for CAIR Florida Inc.

Strengthen Community Relations

• Actively engage and energize CAIR Florida clients stakeholders, shareholders, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders by performing Khutbahs, media appearances, and events.
