CAIR-Florida Participates in DNC's Muslim Delegation Luncheon in Philadelphia

(Miami, FL, 7/28/2016) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations - Florida (CAIR-Florida), the state's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, today announced that CAIR's Director, Nihad Awad, and CAIR-Florida's Regional Operations Director, Nezar Hamze, addressed the guests of the DNC (Democratic National Committee) Muslim Delegation Luncheon. 

Prominent American-Muslim leaders participating in this event included Congressman Keith Ellison, Congressman André Carson, and the AMDC of Florida's President, Ghazala Salam. Other national civil rights leaders joined the event such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
"CAIR-Florida was honored to be invited to the event to speak about Islamophobia and the struggle that the American-Muslim community faces. The attendees reaffirmed their commitment to the American-Muslim community and to the diversity of our great country," said Nezar Hamze.
