Muslim civil rights and advocacy group calls on Biden administration to clarify extent of U.S. involvement
(TAMPA,FL, 6/9/2024) – The Florida Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL), today condemned the “horrific massacre” of more than 200 Palestinians at the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Israeli forces bombed the Nuseirat refugee camp on Saturday, killing 210 Palestinians and wounding more than 400, while conducting a raid in the area that resulted in four Israeli hostages being freed.

In a statement, CAIR-FL’s Executive Director, Imam Abdullah Jaber said:
“The White House, President Biden, and Secretary Blinken persist in denying Palestinians basic human dignity, both in life and in death. Over 200 civilians, mostly children, have been killed to free four hostages who could have been safely released months ago if not for genocidal Netanyahu and his ilk.
“The media largely ignores the Palestinian lives lost. We demand transparency about any U.S. military involvement, an end to the funding of these atrocities, and the use of American influence to halt the violence and end the illegal occupation of Palestine.”
The mission of CAIR-Florida is to protect civil rights, promote understanding of Islam, advocate for justice, and empower American Muslims.
