Operations Director

Join the dynamic team at CAIR-Florida, the leading Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, as the Operations Director. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, managing resources effectively, supporting CAIR Florida’s mission, and actively engaging community and stakeholders.

Location: Fort Lauderdale/Miami

Position Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency across all organizational departments.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including finance, human resources, technology, and administration, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads to align operational strategies with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Streamline communication channels and workflows to enhance cross-departmental coordination and efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize resource allocation to ensure the effective and responsible use of organizational resources.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving overall organizational performance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, providing strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and execute organizational strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture that reflects and reinforces CAIR Florida’s mission and values.

Additional Focus:

  • Engage with community and stakeholders, ensuring their continued involvement in CAIR Florida’s mission.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to align fundraising efforts with overall organizational goals.
  • Actively participate in community events, building and maintaining relationships to enhance CAIR Florida’s presence and impact.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strategic mindset.
  4. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  5. Familiarity with nonprofit compliance, governance, and risk management.
  6. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant business tools.
  8. Commitment to the mission and values of CAIR Florida.
