(MIAMI, 10/25/2023) – On Thursday, October 26, at 12 p.m. the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) will hold a press conference in their South Florida office with multifaith leaders and activists.
The group will be calling on elected officials to keep every American safe, especially after recent spikes in hate incidents and crimes. A letter from a South Florida resident who has lost multiple family members after recent bombings in Gaza will be read.

CAIR-Florida’s #EveryAmericanSafe campaign brings to light not every American is being kept safe by our government. From young Palestinian and Muslim Americans being attacked on campus, to American citizens being trapped, and families being massacred in Gaza.
In a statement, CAIR-Florida Executive Director, Imam Abdullah Jaber, said:
“Americans of all faiths are deeply concerned for the lack of attention and action from our government officials and educational institutions to protect and keep every American safe, home and abroad.”
Imam Abdullah added: We are horrified to hear our governor equating Florida student activists to terrorists in recent statements instead of pleading for their safety and making sure that every American is safe everywhere in Florida.”
